3.1. Waste Management & Recycling

We will operate our licensed Waste Transfer Station to the highest standards. We will:

  • Invest in modern and effective sorting technology to maximise the recovery of recyclable materials such as wood, metal, soil, hardcore, and plastics.

  • Continuously seek out and partner with reputable reprocessing outlets for our recovered materials.

  • Provide clear guidance to our customers on waste segregation to improve the quality of recyclable materials at the source.

  • Ensure all residual waste that cannot be recycled is sent to appropriate and licensed energy-from-waste (EfW) facilities where possible, avoiding landfill.

3.2. Energy & Fuel Consumption

We recognise that our vehicle fleet is our most significant area of direct environmental impact. We will:

  • Maintain our fleet of vehicles to the highest standards to ensure optimal fuel efficiency and minimal emissions.

  • Utilise advanced route planning software to ensure journeys are as efficient as possible, reducing fuel consumption and vehicle mileage.

  • Monitor and manage energy consumption at our operational sites, implementing energy-saving measures where practical.

3.3. Legal Compliance & Best Practice

We are committed to full compliance with our legal and regulatory obligations. We will:

  • Maintain all necessary permits and licences required to operate our business, including our Waste Carrier Licence and Environmental Permit.

  • Ensure all waste transfers are accompanied by correctly completed Waste Transfer Notes, in line with our Duty of Care obligations.

  • Keep up-to-date with changes in environmental legislation and adapt our business practices accordingly.

  • Provide ongoing training and instruction to all staff on our environmental objectives and their individual responsibilities.
